Climbing Crew Leader
oWork safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized underground work.
oPossesses skill in operating backhoe or trackhoe excavating equipment.
oExercises safe pole climbing practices when required, such as when making secondary cable connections on the pole.
oSupervises crew members.
oPossesses working knowledge of leadership and management skills.
oCapable of leading and training lower skilled employees in safe and productive work procedures.
oCapable of leading and teaching underground services and infrastructure.
oConducts pre-job or tailgate briefings.
oPossess a working knowledge of underground distribution.
oTroubleshoots problems on underground circuit.
oFrequently works with energized high voltage systems requiring skill and care to protect the lives of themselves and others.
oMaintains company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
oComply with company reporting procedures and complete required company paperwork.
oCoordinates and inspects the work of crew members.
oAble to perform rigorous physical labor.
oAble to identify primary and secondary voltage on a circuit.
oMust be familiar with induced voltage.

oCapable of planning safe work based on a job print or work order.
oUnderstands sloping and shoring requirements.
oPossesses a working knowledge of ladder requirements.
oAble to properly ask for and take line clearances.
oPossesses a working knowledge of line protection devices.
oAble to properly inspect rubber goods and PPE.
oAble to identify and locate puller and tensioner setups.
oDoes all other related work as required to complete the job.
oAble to travel long distances on short notice, when required.
oUnderstands flag and tag procedures.
oPossesses a CDL and demonstrates safe driving.
oAble to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.
oAble to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
oShould not be afraid of heights in case climbing is required.
oMust be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather.
oWilling to work over-time when requested.
